ATK Gaming Mouse Pads
A mouse pad shapes how every movement translates into the game. It determines how quickly your cursor responds to a micro-adjustment, how cleanly it stops after a fast flick, and whether your wrist stays comfortable through a long session. Most players upgrade their mouse long before they think about the surface beneath it — but the surface is where sensor data actually begins.
ATK's mouse pad lineup covers the main directions that matter in practice: surface texture for speed-control balance, base material for stability and feel, and softness level for how the pad responds under pressure. Whether you're looking for a competition-focused cloth pad, a glass surface for a different kind of glide, or a themed design that fits your setup, the collection is built around a few clear performance philosophies rather than one-size-fits-all specs.
Surface, Base, and Softness: What to Look For
Surface Material
The surface is what your sensor reads and what your mouse glides across. Cloth pads with a tighter, finer weave tend to offer more consistent tracking and a controlled feel — useful when precision matters more than raw speed. A looser or softer weave typically feels faster but may give less stopping feedback.
ATK's cloth pads use a Composite Blend Fiber Weave on most performance-focused models, and Lycra Fabric on softer, more flexible options. The difference is subtle but real: the structured weave tends to feel slightly more resistant underhand, while Lycra reads as softer and more forgiving. Neither is objectively better — it depends on whether you prefer a surface with more resistance feedback or one that feels closer to frictionless.
The Micro-Etched Tempered Glass pad is a separate category entirely. Glass surfaces offer a very different glide — fast, smooth, and consistent regardless of humidity or hand oils. It suits players who want a hard, predictable surface and don't mind the different acoustic feel. For those who prefer it, cloth simply can't replicate it — but it's not a universal upgrade.
Base Material
The base affects two things: how stable the pad stays on your desk, and how the pad feels underhand when pressure is applied.
Poron Polyurethane (including Japanese Inoue Poron) is a high-performance foam used in ATK's top-tier cloth pads. It grips the desk well and has a slight give that some players use intentionally — pressing down lightly can increase surface friction on demand, which helps with stopping control. This takes some adjustment if you're coming from a stiffer rubber base.
ATK's self-developed polyurethane base is used on selected models to improve overall stability, desk grip, and compression consistency while keeping a balanced soft feel. Rubber base pads are more conventional — firm, grippy, and predictable. If you don't want to think about base feel at all, rubber is the safe choice.
Softness and Thickness
All of ATK's cloth pads in this collection are rated XSoft, which refers to the overall pad compression feel. XSoft pads have more give when pressed, which some players find more comfortable for long sessions and easier to use for deliberate stopping technique. Players who prefer a firmer, more board-like feel may find XSoft takes getting used to. The G640 is the exception — it uses a standard rubber base and sits closer to a traditional firm feel.
On thickness: most pads here are 4mm, with one Blaze variant at 5mm. The 1mm difference is minor for most players, though the thicker option adds slightly more compression depth — worth considering if wrist comfort during long sessions is a priority.
Size
Most pads come in a 490 x 400–420mm large format, which suits the majority of desk setups and arm-aiming styles. A 360 x 300mm small option is available on the Sky series for players with limited desk space or who use higher sensitivity. The glass pad is only available in the 360 x 300mm size.
Matching Pad Type to Playing Style
If you… | Direction to consider | Why |
Want maximum control and stopping power | Structured weave + Inoue Poron base (x LEVIATAN) | Surface and base combination oriented toward precision and deliberate stopping |
Want a versatile all-rounder cloth pad | Balanced weave, multiple color and size options (Sky series) | Covers a wide range of playstyles without leaning heavily toward speed or control |
Prefer a fast, low-resistance surface | Structured weave + rubber or ATK self-developed PU base (Blaze) / Special Weave + Poron base (X83) | Firmer or performance-tuned base options can reduce excess compression feel, resulting in a faster, more consistent glide |
Want a soft, flexible surface feel | Lycra fabric surface (Duckbill, Sunny Rain) | Softer and more pliable than structured weave; less resistance feedback |
Want a hard surface with consistent glide | Micro-etched glass (Glass pad) | Humidity-resistant, no cloth texture variation, completely different feel category |
Want a themed or collector design | Anime or limited-edition series (Reverie, NANA, Knight Zodiac) | Functional gaming pads with distinct aesthetics; performance specs vary by model |
Have a tight desk or prefer compact pads | Small-format options (Sky Small, Glass pad) | 360 x 300mm footprint |
Looking for a straightforward entry option | Rubber base, standard construction (G640) | Conventional feel, no-frills starting point |
The Products in This Collection
Performance-focused cloth pads
ATK x LEVIATAN is the collaboration pad developed with esports input. It pairs the structured weave surface with a Japanese Inoue Poron base — the combination in this lineup most oriented toward control and stopping precision. Best suited to players who prioritize deliberate, stop-heavy aiming styles.
ATK Sky is the most versatile option. Available in orange, black, and pink, in both large and small sizes, it covers the widest range of players. Large-size variants come with either ATK's self-developed polyurethane base or Inoue Poron base depending on the configuration — worth checking the specific variant if base feel matters to you.
ATK Blaze offers two base options: rubber base and ATK's self-developed polyurethane base, at 5mm and 4mm respectively. The rubber base version is more conventional; the PU version adds more softness, desk grip, and compression feel.
ATK X83 uses a Special Weave surface rather than the standard Composite Blend — a distinct texture that some players prefer for its feel, with a Poron base underneath.
Soft-surface cloth pads
ATK Duckbill and ATK Sunny Rain both use Lycra fabric surfaces with Poron bases. These are softer, more flexible pads — suited to players who want a gentler surface feel or find structured weaves too firm.
Hard surface
ATK Micro-Etched Tempered Glass is the hard surface option. High-strength glass with a micro-etched coating, rounded corners, 360 x 300mm. No cloth, no foam — a completely different experience category.
Entry-level
ATK G640 uses a rubber base with a structured weave surface, 460 x 400mm, 3mm thick. Straightforward, predictable, and a reasonable starting point if you're not sure which direction you want to go.
